Thermo-mechanical analysis (TMA)

Thermo-mechanical analysis (TMA) is used to determine the deformation of a sample (changes in length or thickness) as a function of temperature. The measuring range may extend from -150 °C to +600 °C.

The following results can be detected:
  • Tension/strain in films
  • Coefficient of linear expansion
  • Penetration measurements
