Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)

This method is used to detect the difference in heat flows between a sample and a reference crucible that are simultaneously exposed to the same heating and cooling rates.
Optional temperature modulated measurings seprate reversing from non-reversing overlapping effects of a sample.

The results are:
  • Melting point
  • Glass transition
  • Specific heat capacity
  • Enthalpy
  • Isothermal crystallization
