Description of experiment:
Granulate or crushed test specimen are weighed into two glass boats and then reduced to ash in a small tubular furnace for 20 minutes at approx. 800 °C.
The residue from ignition (ash content) in the two glass boats is weighed after cooling to room temperature. If the deviation in weight is greater than ± 0.5 % the test must be repeated.
