Shear test
This test method facilitates a comparative material assessment or to provide evidence of a minimum shear strength after thermal aging (UL 746B).
In the shear test, the compressive force of a steel piston with a defined diameter shears a clamped sheet. The shear stress and shear deformation are recorded in a curve until the material has completely separated; the corresponding shear strength is then determined from this data.

Results of the test method
- Shear strength [MPa]
- Complete stress-deformation curve with all measuring channels
