This method is used to assess the electrolytic corrosion-inducing properties of plastics that come into contact with live metals.

The test investigates whether or not a specimen influences the corrosion behavior of live copper and brass foils, and if so how.

Test climate 55°C / 93 % rel. relative humidity


Results of the test method:Finally, the tested plastic is classified into one of the following classes:

  • non-corrosive
  • corrosive
  • highly corrosive
